I have a June 2012 Macbook pro (15 inch base model-nonretina). Apps take ridiculously long to open in OSX (Mountain Lion). When I use bootcamp to go into Windows 7, however, my computer is fast, apps open quickly, and games run on high. It doesn't matter what app I try to open; even system preferences takes a good 20-30 seconds to open in OSX. I shouldn't have to buy an SSD when my old 2006 HP Pavilion performed better than this. https://yellowcheap351.weebly.com/blog/responseware-app-for-mac. I noticed this even the first time I turned it on. I don't have many apps installed, either. I use ccleaner on a regular basis. I purchased this in August 2012 from MacMall. Nothing seems to help at all. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Taking notes with pen and paper works just fine for some, but if you have a smartphone or tablet, using an app designed for note-taking can truly change the way you get things done. Whether your note-taking style demands minimal design and slick gesture-based functions, or advanced organization and cataloging of various media, chances are there.

On your Mac, choose Apple menu Shut Down. After your Mac shuts down, wait 10 seconds, then press the power button. Immediately after your Mac starts (some Mac computers play a startup sound), press and hold the Shift key. Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple logo and progress indicator. When it is finally ready to use, Quit that app. Then, Re-launch your app. Should open almost immediately that second time, because the system has stored various cache files for that app. Regardless of which MS app you launch first, After quitting that app the first time, that app, or any MS app should launch much quicker.
